Requirement for Coding Technicians:
HS diploma or equivalent• Ability to correctly assign ICD-9-CM and CPT HCPCS classification systems codes; must take a prepared test and pass with a grade of 90%
One year of work experience in a health information department of a health care facility or ED Billing Service
